Mitsubishi Kuro Kage Tour Edition w/TiNi Shafts The KURO KAGE™ Tour Edition with TiNi Wire. TiNi Wire is a super-premium highly elastic wire with a unique ability to stretch and then immediately spring back to its original shape. Integrating TiNi into the carbon fiber of the tip section helps unload tremendous energy during impact without loss of control. TiNi Wire: for explosive distance that’s reliable and repeatable. Using TiNi Wire in the tip section?embedded with premium carbon fibers?creates a powerful energy release through the impact zone. The resiliency of TiNi creates less shaft deformation and quicker shaft recovery through impact. This extra strength and stability at impact also helps produce tighter shot dispersion for players with fast swing speeds. High Density Prepreg The KURO KAGE™ Tour Edition also features High Density Prepreg with up to 15% more carbon fiber and much less resin (20% vs. 33%) than standard materials. This allows us to add more fibers without adding overall weight while adding strength and enhancing feel. The KURO KAGE™ Tour Edition is very firm in the tip and mid-section balanced by a softer butt section?perfectly tuned for players with very fast swing speeds. Early prototypes of the KURO KAGE™ with TiNi were very well received on Tour and led to the launch of the KURO KAGE™ Silver with TiNi profile released in the Fall of 2013.
